All credit card companies charge retailers, such as Tucan Travel, a fee for every transaction made. This can be from 1.5% to 3.75% of the amount you pay. Many travel companies will charge you a surcharge from 1.5% to 3% to pass that cost on to you. We however absorb this cost when you book with us using a credit card or PayPal, which is a bit like you getting cash back when you book your holiday. If you think about it, for every £/$1,000 you pay, you are being surcharged between £/$15 and £/$30 just to book your holiday. Don't let yourself be forced to pay this money as it is generally accepted that retailers should absorb this cost. You would't dream of paying this for everyday goods, so don't accept paying it for a holiday.
