M/V Professor Molchanov Built in 1983 in Finland, the M/V Professor Molchanov is a modern and comfortable oceanographic research vessel which has been converted for passenger use. With an ice-strengthened hull and passive stabilisers it is able to smoothly navigate scenic areas where many other vessels cannot, making it ideally suited for expedition cruising.

Cabin Types We offer the following cabin types aboard the M/V Professor Molchanov:
- Triple/Twin Non-private cabins
Lower and upper berths, a desk, a small washbasin, storage and hanging space, and portholes. Shared shower and toilet facilities are conveniently located on the same deck.
- Twin Private cabins
Private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet, upper and lower berths, a desk, ample storage space and windows.
- Superior cabins
Double bed and a single sofa bed. A private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. A sitting area with a desk, video player and TV, coffee and tea facilities, refrigerator, windows.
- Suites
Double bed and a single sofa bed. A private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. A large lounge area with a desk, video player and TV, coffee and tea facilities, refrigerator and large forward and side facing windows.
NOTE: For safety reasons the ship has an ‘open door’ policy, which means that you do not receive a key to lock your cabin. You can give any valuables to the purser who will keep them in the safe.
