Your Financial Protection
Book your adventure with confidence
Safeguarding your holiday is important to us. We adhere to strict industry standards so you can be sure your holiday is secure. We are also in a strong financial position because we take a commonsense approach to business and do not operate on bank credit.
Association of Independent Tour Operators
Tucan Travel is a member of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO). The association is an alliance of around 150 companies dedicated to the provision of quality products, high standards of personal service and customer satisfaction.
The association also offers an independant dispute settlement service for customers. You can read the Charter that, as a member, Tucan Travel must adhere to here.
If you would like to contact them please call (+44) 0208 744 9280 or visit the AITO website at www.aito.co.uk.
AITO Trust Ltd
In addition, for your peace of mind, Tucan Travel is fully bonded by AITO Trust Ltd. Where you book a “Land Only” tour with us, the arrangements we have contracted to provide will be protected by the Association of Independent Tour Operators Trust (AITO) Ltd providing they were purchased in the UK or Republic of Ireland.
This means your money will be refunded or you will be returned to the departure point of your contracted tour arrangements if already abroad in the unlikely event of our being unable to provide your tour due to our insolvency.
Travel Compensation Fund
Any arrangements we have contracted to provide through our Australia office are fully bonded by the Travel Compensation Fund (TCF number 2/7237). In conjunction with joining the TCF, all members require a travel agents license - our license number is 2TA4884.
For further information, visit the TCF website at www.tcf.org.au.
ATOL
International-flight-inclusive components if purchased with Tucan Travel in the UK are ATOL Protected, since we hold an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL 6855. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking.
For further information, visit the ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk.
ABTA
From the moment you book with an Association of British Travel Agents Member they’re there to give you advice and assistance. They can also explain how to protect your travel arrangements, so you don’t lose out if your service provider fails financially, and they can help in the unlikely event that things go wrong.
