Day 1 to 1 - Arrive Bangkok

Sitting on the Chao Phraya River, Bangkok is probably one of the most famous cities in Asia. From gleaming skyscrapers to ancient palaces, temples and quaint waterways - the striking contrasts of this thriving metropolis are obvious.

This evening you will enjoy a night foodie tour of Bangkok’s Chinatown, discovering sophisticated flavours of Bangkok’s 200 years old community that is rich with Thai-Chinese tradition and delicious food. During the tour you will explore the local cuisine. Between each tasting location, you will get behind-the-scene exposure of this unique neighbourhood: meeting the food bazaar’s lively characters, hearing their memorable stories, and visiting religious and cultural landmarks. Following the tour you will be transferred to your hotel where the remainder of the evening is at your leisure.

Day 2 to 2 - Full Day Tour of Bangkok

Today you will enjoy a full day, privately guided tour of Bangkok, exploring the main highlights, starting with the Grand Palace - a stunning collection of over 100 buildings representing 200 years of Thai history and a former Royal residence which continues to be used for ceremonial occasions. In the grounds you will find the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the holiest site in Thailand. This intricately decorated temple is guarded by statues of mythical giants and houses this most important religious image. Your tour then continues to Wat Pho, home of the largest reclining Buddha. The statue is 46m long, 15m high and finished in gold leaf - a truly magnificent sight.

You will enjoy lunch in one of the hidden gems of Bangkok, the Arun Residence, before continuing to the Chao Phraya River, where you board a long-tailed boat for a trip along the river. This is a relaxing and scenic way to see village life on the riverside. Following the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel and the remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 3 to 3 - Drive to Kanchanaburi

It is an early start today as, with your private guide, you will depart west of the capital, to the small town of Kanchanaburi. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours, passing paddy fields and small villages en route. Upon arrival you will visit the nearby war cemetery, the famous ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’ and the infamous ‘Death Railway’. You will board a train for a scenic ride on the Death Railway.

Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will continue to Hell Fire Pass where a museum commemorates the terrible losses incurred during the railway’s construction. Later, you will transfer to long-tail boat for a journey up the jungle clad River Kwai to your Raft House, set in a tranquil location by the river. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 4 to 4 - Ayutthaya

This morning you will meet your private guide and drive to Ayutthaya. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Once one of the world's leading capitals, Ayutthaya’s myriad temples and palaces glittered from miles away. Ayutthaya was the capital of Siam from the 15th-through the 18th-century due to its ideal location between China, India and the Malay Archipelago which made the city the trading capital of Asia. Known as a centre of distinctive art and architecture, the city preceded modern Thailand and is still known for its flourishing artistic community. Buddhas from the former capital period are some of the most treasured in the land.

Upon arrival, you will explore the ancient ruins with your guide, visiting Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, Wat Mahathat and Wat Yai Chai Mongkol. You will be guided through part of the stunning complex of palaces, shrines, stupas and monasteries that reflect the grandeur of the city's magnificent past as well as the Palace of Bang Pa In, the Royal Family's summer retreat. Following the tour you will be transferred to your hotel where the evening is at your leisure.

Day 5 to 5 - Sukhothai

This morning you will meet your private guide and depart for Sukhothai. The journey will take approximately 4 hour and upon arrival you will explore the Sukhothai Historical Park. Admire the great capital of the first Siam Kingdom. There are many ancient temples in the park such as Wat Sa Si and Wat Phra Phai Luang. After visiting the inner Historical Park you will head further out to see the biggest Buddha image of Sukhothai - the Subduing Mara Buddha Image named “Achana” which means "the talking Buddha". Wat Si Chum is one of the most important temples in Sukhothai and you will explore the area with your guide. Following your visit, you will be transferred to your hotel and the evening is free at your leisure.

Day 6 to 6 - Chiang Mai

Thanks to the prestigious Chiang Mai University the city has a young laid back vibe, and boasts an array of wats, temples, restaurants and markets.

Day 7 to 7 - Full Day Tour of Chiang Mai

Today you will enjoy a full day, privately guided tour of Chiang Mai. You will spend all day visiting the main temples of the Capital city of the Lanna Kingdom, such as Wat Suan Dok, Wat Phra Singh, featuring exquisite northern design. A short drive takes you to Doi Suthep, where the splendid temple of Wat Doi Suthep is located. This is Chiang Mai's most important and most visible landmark. A flight of 306 steps, bordered by a NAGA balustrade, lead up from the parking area to the temple, which has beautifully decorated buildings and a Lanna-style chedi covered with engraved gold plates, flanked by four ornamental umbrellas.

After, you will visit the Warorot market, sitting beside the Ping River. The back and side streets around the Waroros Market are full of Hill Tribe and Northern Thai handicraft product stalls. Following the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel and the remainder of the day is free at your leisure.

Day 8 to 8 - Elephant Nature Park

After breakfast, your guide will take you on a picturesque drive through the agricultural Thai countryside, along the Mae Taeng Valley which brings you to Elephant Nature Park. You will learn about the problems elephants face in Southeast Asia and how the nature park is helping in the care of Thailand's dwindling elephant population. You will hear the personal stories of the rescued elephants and then after unloading and distributing the fruit treats you will have a chance to feed the elephants from the viewing platform. The Nature Park is also a natural home and sanctuary for buffalo, dogs, cats, birds and many other rescued animals. Day 9 to 9 - Full Day Doi Thatanon National Park

Today you will enjoy a full day, privately guided tour of the Doi Thatanon National Park. This is where Thailand's highest mountain is located, at 2565 metres above sea level. Complex mountain ranges and mild climate characterise an area with moist and dense forest which is the source of important tributaries of Mae Ping River. Various streams descend, forming beautiful waterfalls such as Vachiratharn and Mae Klang. On the way back to the hotel from the National Park, you will stop to visit Karen hill tribe villages.

Day 10 to 10 - Phuket

This morning you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport to board your flight to Phuket.
