Trek through rainforest and alpine terrain to the stark rocky plateau of Mount Kinabalu, staying one night on the mountain. At over 4000m it is one of the highest peaks in South East Asia and the tallest mountain in Borneo, and home to many unique plants and birds. On summit day, you will awake early to see the sun rise over the sprawling landscape below - a fitting reward for your efforts over the two-day trek.

Day 1 to 1 - Kota Kinabalu to Mt Kinabalu
The first day of your tour is simply an arrival day with no pre-organised activities. In order to allow time to relax and see some of the sights you may wish to add pre-tour accommodation.
Transfer from Kota Kinabalu to Mount Kinabalu National Park.
Day 2 to 2 - Mt Kinabalu Climb
After breakfast you will meet your mountain guide and transfer to the trail head to begin your trek. At approximately 4pm, after reaching 3,300m you will check in to your hostel. A buffet dinner is included.
Day 3 to 3 - Mt Kinabalu Peak and return to Kota Kinabalu
Your adventure of a lifetime comes to an end today. If you have a late flight or have lengthened your stay by adding post tour accommodation you will have more time to explore the sights.
You will begin hiking at approximately 1.30am depending on the time of year and enjoy an early breakfast, reaching the summit in time for the sunrise. You will have an hour here to enjoy the magnificent views before descending to the first hostel for a second breakfast at 3,300m. You will then continue your descent, arriving at the headquarters where you will enjoy a light lunch and then take a transfer back to Kota Kinabalu.
